Position : Storage Engineer
Location : McLean, VA - HYBRID
Duration : 12 months.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Must Haves: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with storage engineering and specifically with the following: Dell SAN, NetApp SAN, NetApp NAS, Dell Unisphere, Dell Secure Remote Gateway, NetApp WFA, NetApp AIQ, etc. Experience with Brocade Switch is also a strong preference.
  • The Engineer will be helping the team with migration from Amazon VMC (VMWare Cloud in AWS) to OnPrem data center. The team exclusively takes care of OnPrem storage solutions.
  • The engineer will help with engineering activities, maintenance activities, certificate renewals, password renewals, patching of environment, change activities etc.
  • The Storage engineer must have solid experience in NetApp SAN, NetApp NAS, Dell SAN, Dell Unisphere, Dell Secure Remote Gateway, NetApp WFA, NetApp AIQ and Brocade switch. The Client uses NetApp Platform for the majority of the workloads. The engineer must also have excellent communication skills.
  • VMWare, Ansible, Automation knowledge/experience are nice to have.
  • Financial services experience not required.

  • Proven ability to design and leverage Administrative Solutions like Dell Unisphere, Dell Secure Remote Gateway, NetApp WFA, NetApp AIQ, etc.
  • Ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement for individual and team performance.
  • Communicates well within the team to set clear goals and effectively relay the status and accomplishments to management.
  • Must not only lead current technical trends, but also anticipate and analyze future state technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience automating common processes via Ansible or comparable automation tools.
  • Proven collaborative mindset and troubleshooting experience in order to guide the Storage Operations Center.
