Job description

File Storage Engineer to provide L3 support for File storage products NetApp and PowerScale for our financial services client.

Location: 2-3x a week onsite in NYC, NY or Lake Mary, FL

Position Overview:

  • Design and implementation of File storage products such as NetApp and PowerScale.

  • L3 support for File storage issues, including performance analysis and sizing of the systems

  • Ability to do technology certifications, defining platform standards and documenting procedures such as storage platform build and operational guides.

  • Take on leading and driving critical projects and strategic org efforts

  • Ability to design storage solutions based on the requirement by working closely with other teams

  • Ability to provide plan for carrying out large scale storage infra refresh, migration and upgrade activities.

  • Innovate by collaborating to create more efficient processes and automations to carry out same.

  • Technical proficiency and broad experience in file storage protocols

  • Familiar with on-prem server infrastructure deployments

  • Familiar with Storage provisioning and management tools such as AIQUM, OCI/CI, SyncIQ, ActiveIQ

  • Experience in design, deployment and management of storage infrastructure Skillset

  • Storage Hardware, components and tools for unstructured data

  • NetApp Ontap

  • Dell PowerScale

  • Experience with storage management tools such as AIQUM, OCI/CI, SyncIQ and InsightIQ

  • Capability to perform capacity analysis and design of NAS storage environment

  • Familiar with the design of NAS storage environment and data protection technologies such as Snaplock implementation

  • Familiar with performance troubleshooting

  • Proficiency and experience in scripting tools and Automation using
