What does a narrative designer do?

Narrative Designers typically spend their days developing storylines, writing dialogue, and creating character backstories that align with the game’s design and vision. They work closely with game designers, artists, and programmers to ensure that the narrative is seamlessly integrated into all aspects of gameplay. In addition to drafting and revising scripts, they often participate in team meetings to discuss feedback, adjust narrative elements, and collaborate on interactive storytelling solutions. This role may involve playtesting, revising content based on user experience insights, and maintaining documentation to ensure consistency throughout the development process.
