Job description

PACS Lab Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Familiar with PACS (Physical Access Control Systems) software, able to administer and maintain a PACS when deployed, and familiar with the system configuration, maintenance, and credential enrollment in a PACS environment.
  • Technical conformance testing of the Physical Access Control Systems used in the Federal space to validate FICAM compliance.
  • Familiar with the PACS such as but not limited to: Genetec, Lenel, Identiv, AMAG, Gallagher, Software House, HID Global, Access N Site, Fusion, Galaxy, Xtec, Allegion, ReconaSense, Feenics, Open Options, RS2, Avigilon, Datawatch, DAQ, Kastle, Honeywell, Veridt, Technology Industries (TI), IDFactors, IDFactors, NAPCO, IdentityOne, Advantor, etc.
  • Test vendor hardware and software for the ability to properly authenticate credentials attempting to exploit known security attack vectors for the PIV credential.
  • Personal Identity Verification (PIV) and PIV-I Card Testing.
  • Coordination with PACS vendors for installation and upgrades.
  • Communication with the stakeholders at the bi-annual vendor forum meetings.
  • Experience with the software side of Access Control systems.
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and other authenticator categories.
  • Familiarity with Windows products and tools (Word, Excel, Microsoft Certificate Store, etc.) and Google Workspace (Google docs, Google sheets, etc.).
  • Ability to track and record very detailed information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in ICAM or related fields (e.g., cybersecurity, IT compliance).
  • Ten years of progressive experience in the field of information security.
  • At least ten years of experience in providing technical leadership on information security projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred. Four years of additional experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of FIPS 201, HSPD-12, and relevant NIST publications.
  • Expertise in test design and execution for government systems.
  • Proficiency with testing tools such as CCT, CPCT, and SP 800-85B.
  • Understanding of PIV credential security and PKI infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability.
  • United States Citizen.
  • CSEIP (Certified System Engineer - ICAM PACS (Identity, Credential, and Access Management / Physical Access Control Systems) certification within 6 months of start date.
