Position Summary
The Assistant Teacher in the Infant Room supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role focuses on meeting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each child while maintaining a structured and loving classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Provide attentive, responsive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
  • Follow all state licensing regulations and health and safety procedures
  • Support age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Monitor and document children’s daily activities and progress
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Assist with classroom routines including nap and feeding schedules
  • Model Christian values in daily interactions

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with infants or young children (preferred)
  • Ability to complete required background checks and training.
  • Must meet applicable Georgia childcare licensing requirements for the position.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must have a nurturing and compassionate spirit for infants
