Responsibilities

General:

Following company policies and processes

Initiating and supporting continuous improvement activities

Creating metrics and reports as required

Documenting and improving Quality Processes

Training new employees in Quality Processes

Guiding process users and answering questions

Ensuring compliance with internal and external standards where applicable

Approving Engineering Change Orders for Quality Engineering

Participating in NPI projects as a core team member

Supporting Manufacturing Engineering projects as needed

Performing other functional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Supporting Global Supply-chain Management (GSM) department on vendor selection and performance activities

Supporting Receiving Inspection activities, answering their questions regarding processes, parts, design intents, drawings, inspection techniques, sampling plans and SAP QM transactions

Non-Conforming Material (NCM) and Material Review Board (MRB):

Owning the process, documentation, and PLM tool

Processing NCM data into databases (SAP)

Managing Material Review Board (MRB) activities

Managing MRB room inventory

Managing MRB metrics and reports

Ensuring on-time disposition of NCM records and NCM material

Ensuring NCM data integrity and compliance with internal and external standards, policies and procedures

Supplier Deviation Request (SDR):

Owning the process, documentation, and PLM tool

Approving SDRs

Monitoring and maintaining SDR process, work instructions, and PLM database

Managing SDR metrics and reports

Ensuring on-time disposition of SDRs

Ensuring SDR data integrity and compliance with internal and external standards, policies and procedures

Quality Information Records (QIR)

Owning the process, documentation, and PLM tool

Creating and maintaining Quality Inspection Plans in SAP

Creating and updating QIR in SAP

Ensuring SAP quality plans' functionality and accuracy

Preventing QIR and Quality Lot errors in SAP

Working with manufacturing engineers and receiving inspectors to maintain quality plans and QIRs

First Article Inspection (FAI):

Owning the process, documentation, and PLM tool

Creating FAI requirements on FAI forms

Supporting Manufacturing Engineers' approval of FAI results

Generating FAI metrics and reports

Ensuring on-time disposition of FAI results

Out of Box Quality (OBQ):

Owning the process, documentation, and PLM tool

Chairing the OBQ board meetings

Managing the OBQ action items

Generating OBQ Metrics

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Fluent in Microsoft Office Tools

Advanced skills in MS Excel (data mining, macros, charts, tables, pivot tables etc.)

Experience in leading and contributing dFMEA, pFMEA, DFx tools and processes

Experience in, NPI process

Experience in leading and contributing cross-functional international teams

Experience with chairing Material Review Board (MRB) and NCM activities

Excellent people skills and team player

Experience with SAP material master and quality modules and transactions

3D CAD experience with ability to read fabrication drawings and make changes

Knowledge of common inspection tools and how to use them

Excellent understanding of fundamentals of quality assurance and QMS

Experience in using conventional inspection equipment and CMM (or similarly advanced tools)

Experience in process capacity analysis

Excellent verbal / written communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

ISO9001 or equivalent

Lean Six Sigma

Experience with process improvements

Experience with writing Engineering Changes

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Strong typing skills

Ability to lift 25lbs

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Engineering

Minimum of 3 years' Quality Engineering experienc

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $73,000 and $140,000. You will have the ability to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
