Job description

Bronxville, NY Family seeking a highly experienced, proactive Live-In Nanny. Must be fluent in Mandarin (Putonghua)/English supporting the daily language developmentrequired for educational and supplemental tutoring and all child-related needs of their fraternal twins.

Position: Full-Time Live In Nanny
Schedule:FT Live-in, Sunday to Thursday
Salary: $100k annually, DOE, flexible for the right fit, 2 weeks during Employer's Summer travel time in August will be paid time-off. If not able to travel, expected to align paid holiday time off concurrently.
Start Date: ASAP
Relocation: NO, candidates MUST currently reside within reasonable commuting distance.

About the Family

Twins are in school 2.5 hrs/day, 5 days/wk in English speaking school & 1 day/wk in a Chinese speaking school.They also communicate in Italian/Spanish, so a Nanny able to communicate in all languages is a huge +.
The family travels Internationally in the Summer, and although not a requirement to travel with them, the expectation is for the candidate to take their holiday concurrently.

Children: Fraternal Twins, (3 years old)
Pets: One Greyhound
Household Staff:The family has a Full-time Live in professional for 20 years supporting their multi-dimensional needs; housecleaning, laundry and cooking.

Responsibilities

  • Educating: Supplemental tutoring:Must be fluent in Mandarin (Putonghua) and English to support the children's language development required for daily communication and the childrens educational and supplemental tutoring needs.
  • Engaging: playing, reading, engaging the children with age-appropriate activities
  • Provide attentive childcare with safety as a priority
  • General tidying related to children, organize play areas
  • Laundry: Childrens only
  • Meals: Childrens only

Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, confident in their skills with a strong educational background, with demonstrated experience in early childhood education and tutoring. A competent Nanny who can work independently and be collaborative, working well with parents and other staff.They should be naturally nurturing, have a positive attitude, and take pride in maintaining a structured, tidy, and calm environment. A flexible mindset, strong communication skills, and a calm demeanor are essential. The family is seeking someone who is looking for long-term placement.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in Mandarin (Putonghua) and English to support the children's language development required for daily communicationand educational and supplemental tutoring needs.The children also speak Italian and Spanish. It will be a PLUS if the Nanny can read, write, and speak all 4 languages
  • Strong educational background, demonstrated experience in early childhood education and tutoring
  • MUST have experience working in a similar recent role in a private household
  • Minimum of 2-3 Excellent references
  • Legal to work in the United States
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Drivers license preferred, with clean driving record
