Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Pallet Repair:

  • Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.

Efficiency and Productivity:

  • Strive to meet daily production targets.
  • Drag/Pull pallets frequently - approximately 75lbs.
  • Utilize nail gun frequently- approximately 35lbs.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction.
  • Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses a pneumatic nail gun & reciprocating saw to repair pallets.

  • In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.

  • Work requires operator tostand for long periods of time.

  • Operators must be able to repeatedlylift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs.

  • Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering tocompany safety procedures at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Repair Operators must havephysical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.

  • Repair Operatorsmust also be able to concentrateon their tasks.

  • The ability tounderstand and communicate informationis also essential.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery
