Job Description

BWX Technologies Inc. is looking for the ideal candidate to fulfill the role of Technologist 4 as part of their Nuclear Equipment Manufacturing organization. This role functions out of a regional group to manage, verify effectiveness and continuously improve the NDE training, qualification and oversight program. Additional duties include providing technical counsel and supporting sites and their suppliers in order to ensure the highest level of reliability and compliance. The position may develop and administer training and testing programs related to both commercial and military non-destructive testing specifications relative to the following methods: Radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, visual inspection and ultrasound.


Qualifications

Qualifications in at least four (4) of the following methods: radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, visual inspection and ultrasound. In addition, the demonstration of proficient knowledge in NAVSEA 250-1500-1, MIL-STD-2132 and ASME Section III through previous work experience is a preferred. Experience as a Level III or Examiner is preferred. The candidate must be currently certified or be capable of attaining certification within 6 months in at least four (4) of the methods listed above in accordance with NAVSEA 250-1500-1 and SNT-TC-1A.
