Job description

Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) Assessor

Join a team that is inclusive and embraces all individuals. Intermountain Centers is one of the largest statewide behavioral health and integrated care organizations in Arizona. The NMT Assessor is responsible for conducting NMT assessments to support the development of neurodevelopmentally informed treatment plans for children, youth, and families.

This role involves utilizing Phase I NMT training to evaluate clients' developmental history, stress response systems, and current functioning. The NMT Assessor works closely with clinical teams to provide detailed assessments that guide trauma-informed interventions.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive NMT assessments, utilizing the NMT metric tool, collaborating with clinical teams, providing clear reports on assessment findings, participating in case reviews, ensuring adherence to the NMT framework, attending supervision and training sessions, maintaining thorough documentation, engaging in ongoing professional development, and advocating for the application of NMT principles.

Competencies include problem solving, interpersonal skills, planning/organizing, quality control, adaptability, dependability, safety and security, and meeting all licensing and contracting requirements.

Qualifications include a master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, Phase I certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), preferred licensure, minimum of 2 years of experience in trauma-informed care, strong understanding of developmental trauma, brain science, and NMT principles, excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Regulatory requirements include being 21 years of age, possessing an Arizona driver's license and state mandated auto insurance, obtaining a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR and First Aid certification if required, initial current negative TB test result if required, and passing a 5-panel drug screen.
