General Summary: The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) Assessor is responsible for conducting NMT assessments to support the development of neurodevelopmentally informed treatment plans for children, youth, and families. This role involves utilizing Phase I NMT training to evaluate clients' developmental history, stress response systems, and current functioning. The NMT Assessor works closely with clinical teams to provide detailed assessments that guide trauma-informed interventions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive NMT assessments, including the collection of developmental, relational, and neurobiological data, to inform individualized treatment plans.

2. Utilize the NMT metric tool to map clients' neurodevelopmental functioning and identify therapeutic priorities.

3. Collaborate with clinical teams, including therapists and case managers, to ensure that treatment plans are aligned with NMT findings and tailored to each client's needs.

4. Provide clear, detailed reports on assessment findings, communicating results to clinical staff, families, and external stakeholders as necessary.

5. Participate in case reviews, offering insights based on NMT assessments to guide treatment planning and intervention strategies.

6. Ensure adherence to the NMT framework, maintaining fidelity to the model and best practices in neurodevelopmental assessment.

7. Attend regular supervision and training sessions to stay updated on NMT methodologies, research, and advancements in trauma-informed care.

8. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all assessments, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

9. Engage in ongoing professional development, particularly in NMT and trauma-informed care practices, to enhance assessment quality and service delivery.

10. Advocate for the application of NMT principles in clinical settings, promoting awareness of the benefits of neurodevelopmental-informed care.

Must meet all licensing and contracting requirements for agency personnel.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.

2. Phase I certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).

3. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or similar licensure preferred, but not required.

4. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in trauma-informed care, neurodevelopmental assessments, or similar therapeutic settings.

5. Strong understanding of developmental trauma, brain science, and NMT principles.

6. Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.

7. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex neurodevelopmental concepts in a clear, concise manner.

Regulatory:

Must be 21 years of age.

Possess an Arizona driver's license and state mandated auto insurance.

Possess or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

CPR and First Aid certification if required (Employer provides).

Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).

Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen.
