Job description

Application Developer (.NET) – Financial Systems
Contract: 12-Months (No C2C or Third-Party Vendors)
Location: Tallahassee,  Florida  (5 days, onsite)
We are seeking a strong Financial Systems Developer with a blend of application development, systems analysis, and database expertise to support the remediation and enhancement of business-critical applications. This role will help drive our client’s modernization and readiness efforts while supporting ongoing development and maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze existing systems, implement application enhancements, improve data quality, and ensure solutions align with evolving business and financial requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting web applications using Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Angular, and/or React
  • Strong SQL development skills with experience supporting SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
  • Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud-based application environments
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile best practices
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating solutions across various technologies
  • Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework and Agile methods
  • Previous experience, working with ERP financial systems
  • Familiarity with data management concepts such as ETL, Data Warehousing, Operational Data Stores, Data Lakes, and Master Data Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing web applications and document technical and business requirements
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies to support financial systems initiatives
  • Collaborate with business users to identify and deliver application improvements
  • Update web applications and databases to support statewide financial system modernization initiatives and Chart of Accounts changes
  • Create and maintain database views, stored procedures, and other database objects
  • Analyze financial data and recommend enhancements to application data models
  • Manage development activities, deployments, and work items using Azure DevOps
  • Participate in Agile team activities, including sprint planning, standups, and collaboration sessions
  • Provide application maintenance, support, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
