What You'll Do

As Program Support Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing all client documentation across Group Day and Group Supported Employment. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and the development of person-centered individual service plans while fostering strong relationships with vendors, staff, and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

Training Supervision & Mentoring

  • Oversee documentation training for program staff.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to direct support staff on best practices, service delivery, and professional conduct.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between teams, managers, and service directors.

Individual Support & Rehabilitation

  • Assess and address individual concerns, ensuring the involvement of appropriate support staff.
  • Develop individualized rehabilitation goals for workforce acclimation and interpersonal skills development.
  • Conduct internal functional assessments and implement person-centered plans aligned with behavioral and therapeutic goals.
  • Lead Person-Centered Planning (PCP) and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, maintaining updated audit schedules and compliance documentation.

Program Development & Community Engagement

  • Support community education and outreach efforts to increase program awareness and engagement.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to Medicaid, Licensing, CARF, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct file audits to maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with Human Rights, HCBS Rights, Health & Safety, and state licensure regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain quarterly and annual reports, ensuring timely data collection and outcome tracking.
  • Monitor direct support professionals' (DSPs) compliance with documentation, procedural, and policy requirements.

You're a great fit for this position if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in human services, psychology, behavior management, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of (3) three years working with individuals with disabilities in vocational, residential, or recreational programs.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • (3) Three years of experience working with Licensing, Medicaid, and CARF regulations preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with fewer than six points required.
  • U.S. Citizenship preferred to meet federal clearance requirements for secure government facilities.
  • Willingness to work at various program locations as needed.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid, CARF, and state licensure requirements.
  • Knowledge of individual assessment, service planning, and behavioral supports.
  • Familiarity with employment readiness programs, community engagement, and direct support training.
  • Ability to mentor and develop direct support staff, fostering professional growth and service excellence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for staff coordination, vendor collaboration, and family engagement.
  • Analytical thinking to address compliance issues, program challenges, and staff concerns.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet deadlines across multiple service locations.
  • Capacity to work in varied program locations, adjusting to organizational and service needs.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce policies while maintaining service excellence.
  • Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, fostering inclusive and respectful service environments.
