MVHS is offering up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new and experienced LPNs!

Pay Range $26.00 - $33.00 Hourly

Job Summary

At MVHS, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general nursing care to patients, families and caregivers at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (RNC).

LPNs play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents and their families. We’re offering many opportunities for various shifts including days, nights and weekends; we offer flexible scheduling options for full-time, part-time and per-diem positions.

The Licensed Practical Nurse assists and advocates for the patient and family’s health in support of the patient centered approach and delivery model of care, and is an active care team member. Responsible for collaborating with physicians/ providers, registered professional nurses and multidisciplinary care team members, a Licensed Practical Nurse will also perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health coaching, and supportive care under the direction of the registered professional nurse or licensed physician or licensed health care provider. Nursing shall be performed in accordance with the standards outlined for Licensed Practical Nurse in the NYS Education Law, NYS Office of the Professions, and by the State Nurse Practice Act. A Licensed Practical Nurse will follow the mission, vision, values, policies and procedures of Mohawk Valley Health System.

MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (RNC) is a 202-bed skilled nursing facility with a 40-bed subacute rehabilitation unit. At MVHS RNC, our residents feel comfortable in a safe, warm, friendly environment filled with reminders of home and a caring and compassionate staff.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing program

Preferred: 

  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program
Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required: 

  • Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Must receive BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire date
