    Job Responsibilities:
    1. Prepare and play piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, violin/viola, percussion, horn or any musical instrument accompaniments employing advanced musical skills and demonstrating proficiency in multiple choral genres in rehearsal and public performances.
    2. Demonstrate proficient advanced sight-reading skills.
    3. Practice as music may indicate to ensure secure performances and playing of vocal parts (open score) during rehearsals.
    4. Run sectionals and coach music students during section rehearsals, providing a summary to the director.
    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in music and/or professional level ability to play. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
    2. Evidence of successful experiences working with school age music students.
    3. Evidence of the ability to respect, protect, and maintain confidentiality.
    4. Evidence of the ability and inclination to take charge of student behavior if circumstances suggest.
    5. Evidence of the ability to work in a team environment.
    6. Evidence of excellent human relations and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
    7. Ability to commit to the full year schedule and ideally to remain with the position for the long term, building upon a strong, consistent team in the dept.
    8. Ability to transpose or improvise an accompaniment is desireable.
    9. Working knowledge of Finale may be a consideration.
    Knowledge and Skills:
    1. Has knowledge and background in the assigned activity.
    2. Understanding of and agreement with the Minnetonka Public School District's Student Activity and Athletic Code.
    3. Knowledge of State, Federal and Minnetonka Public School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action.
    4. Evidence of the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, parents, community members and students.
    6. Ability to receive work direction.
    7. Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.
    8. Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

    Compensation:
    $32.50 per hour
    Not medical or dental benefit eligible.
