$25–$35/hr | Part-Time or Full-Time | Central Florida Applicants Only
Oviedo Music Academy, part of Winter Park Music Academy, is hiring qualified instructors for private lessons and group classes in one or more of the following instruments:
  • Voice
  • Piano
  • Guitar / Bass / Ukulele
  • Drums
  • Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello)
This position is for our new Oviedo location. You will have the opportunity to teach lessons primarily in our studio as well as In-Home (in the home of the student), Online and at local school after-school programs. You won't be expected to cover all three of our locations: we'll match your schedule and availability to the right fit.
This position is open to local candidates only. Applicants must be already based in the Central Florida area.

A college degree in music is not required. Many of our strongest instructors have have experience teaching and/or years of performing experience. What matters most:

  • An outgoing, encouraging personality
  • FL Driver's License
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A growth mindset: you take your craft seriously and help students do the same
Responsibilities include:
  • Teaching private lessons and/or group classes at your assigned location(s)
  • Consistent attendance: not regularly missing lessons
  • Developing lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and goals
  • Incorporating music theory and technique appropriate to the instrument
  • Tracking student progress and communicating with families with regular feedback
  • Contributing to a positive, accountable learning environment
