Vision

Purpose

The Worship Leader will help plan and lead worship services that create meaningful opportunities for people to encounter the palpable presence of God through thoughtful planning and excellent leadership. This role works alongside other worship leaders to cultivate a unified worship culture across sites while developing and leading worship volunteers.


Primary Responsibilities: 

Worship Planning and Service Execution  

  • Serve as a primary leader at a site, rotating periodically to other locations to support the Worship Central Services model and ensure a cohesive worship culture
  • Plan the worship services in conjunction with the Worship Team and leadership team, and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness. 
  • Select songs that support sermon themes and the church calendar, ensuring services are musically and spiritually cohesive.
  • Ensure that all of the musical and technical aspects of the service advance the Kingdom and support the church’s vision and appropriate scriptural themes.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to facilitate production at sites, ensuring consistent and unified direction in all site
  • Help develop a unified worship culture across all campuses.

Volunteer Team Development 

  • Build people, leaders, and community within the worship ministry.
  • Develop worship teams alongside other worship leaders on staff
  • Oversee and develop volunteers (recruitment, scheduling, rehearsals). 
  • Lead midweek band/vocal rehearsals musically and spiritually.

Ministry Collaboration and Church Support 

  • Attend staff meetings and key ministry meetings with other departments.
  • Provide support at other campus events and special events as needed.
  • Support and assist in the overall vision of the ministry. 
  • Other duties as required

  • Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, and personal worship
  • Be teachable and approachable with strong skills in communication and collaboration
  • Exhibit excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Motivated and passionate about sharing Jesus in your daily life


Qualifications: 

  • Able to lead worship with excellence, both vocally and instrumentally 
  • Must either have a degree or relevant experience leading worship
