Interns typically work with professional ensembles, theaters, or music organizations to gain practical skills in rehearsals, concerts, and event production. These internships help participants develop their musical abilities, stage presence, and professional network. They may also involve learning about the business and logistical aspects of the music industry. Most music performance internships are unpaid or offer modest stipends, but they are valuable for building a career in music.
