About the Role:
Join Sweetwater Care as a Board Certified Music Therapist in Phoenix, AZ, where you will use the healing power of music to enhance the lives of our clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and creative environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individualized music therapy sessions for clients of all ages and abilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals
  • Assess client progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into care plans
  • Provide documentation and reporting on client progress and outcomes
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Therapy, or a Bachelor of Music degree
  • Completed all educational and clinical training requirements as required by the American Music Therapy Association inclusive of a six (6) month internship at an approved site as well as pre-clinical hours completed during their academic coursework
  • Hold the MT-BC credential as issued by the Certification Board for Music Therapists
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with clients and families
  • Passion for using music as a therapeutic tool to improve mental health
  • Knowledge of various music genres and therapeutic techniques
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
