Job description

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in history, museum studies, or a related field; prior experience in a house museum or historic site preferred; prior curatorial and customer service experience strongly preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficiency using MS Office software. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Duties Under the direction of the Historical Sites Supervisor, responsibilities include oversight of daily operations of Magnolia Grange Museum House to include general inspections of museum property, house tours, programs and special events planning. Curatorial duties include daily inspection and care of artifacts and collections. Works directly with volunteers, provide exceptional customer service, manage group tours, and tracks visitation numbers and volunteer hours.

Works as needed on weekends for special events and programs. Perform other work as required. Shift Tuesday - Saturday; approximately 10:00 a.m

- 2:00 p.m. Occasional evenings as needed for special events and programs. Not to exceed 20 hours per week
