Location: Huntsville, AL
Pay: $18.00 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Thursday, 6: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM (Overtime on Fridays as needed)
Job Summary
AtWork Personnel is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift / Reach Truck Operator for a busy warehouse in Huntsville, AL. This position is responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to move, load, unload, and store materials while supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and experienced working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safely operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trailers while ensuring product accuracy and minimizing damage.
  • Pick and stage orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
  • Move inventory to designated storage locations and replenish stock as needed.
  • Verify product quantities and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory counts as needed.
  • Perform other warehouse duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating warehouse equipment
  • Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF scanners is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
