About Outerkind

Øuterkind is an award-winning creative agency helping brands connect with people across experiential, retail, and digital environments. We design brand experiences that bridge physical spaces and digital touchpoints, creating moments that people remember.

We're a collaborative, fast-moving team that values curiosity, creativity, accountability, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. We believe great ideas come from people who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow alongside a high-performing team.

About the Role

We're looking for an Experiential Graphic Designer to join our creative team and work directly alongside our Creative Director to bring experiential environments to life.

This role is ideal for a designer who is passionate about environmental and experiential design and wants to grow into a future creative leadership position. You'll contribute across the entire creative process, from early ideation and spatial concepts through production-ready assets that ultimately become real-world experiences.

You'll work on everything from branded environments, large-format graphics, event activations, and environmental graphics to consumer journeys, spatial concepts, presentations, signage systems, and immersive experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Design visual elements for experiential marketing campaigns, activations, branded environments, and live events
  • Develop environmental graphics, signage, large-format print assets, and experiential brand touch points
  • Create concept mockups, presentations, renderings, and production-ready creative assets
  • Translate brand strategy into physical experiences that engage audiences and support client objectives
  • Collaborate with strategy, account, production, and creative teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support new business efforts through creative brainstorming, visual concepts, and pitch materials
  • Ensure consistency across physical and digital brand experiences
  • Partner with vendors and production teams on print specifications, materials, fabrication, and installation requirements
  • Balance multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Travel occasionally for client events, installations, or site visits

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional experience in experiential design, environmental graphic design, exhibit design, event design, retail design, branding, or a related design discipline
  • Strong portfolio showcasing experiential, environmental, spatial, or large-format design work
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience creating print-ready artwork and large-scale environmental graphics
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand systems
  • Ability to think conceptually while also executing detailed production work
  • Experience working in an agency or similarly fast-paced creative environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, highly engaged team

Bonus Points For

  • Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) experience
  • Exhibit, museum, visitor experience, or experiential marketing experience
  • Retail, branded environment, or workplace environmental branding experience
  • Experience creating spatial layouts, floor plans, or customer journey-based environments
  • Knowledge of fabrication methods, production specifications, materials, and installation best practices
  • Experience with large-format print production and environmental graphics workflows
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization, renderings, or spatial design tools

Why Join Outerkind?

  • Work directly with senior creative leadership and gain exposure to strategy, ideation, and client-facing work
  • Opportunity to grow into increased creative ownership and future leadership opportunities
  • Collaborative, high-performing team environment
  • Variety of clients, projects, and creative challenges
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Unlimited PTO

Compensation

  • Base salary: $90,000 - $100,000
  • Eligible for bonus opportunities tied to company performance
  • Comprehensive benefits package
