What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
  • Screen guests and their belongings in accordance with established museum procedures, using screening equipment and conducting bag checks as directed.
  • Monitor entry points and visitor flow, verify credentials when required, and assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming environment for guests.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, exhibit spaces, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
