Personalized Learning Courses Summer Planning, Collins Middle School, Salem Public Schools (INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY [SY 2026-2027])

Starting Date: Aug 20, 2026

Job Description

Eligibility: Grant Funded - only available to Literacy Lab, Math Lab, and Personalized Learning Lab teachers and Math/ELA coach
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per teacher, up to 10 hours per coach

Position Overview

Collins Middle School is excited to deepen the personalized learning work of the school for the 2026-27 school year, including a summer step‑back and individualized planning session for educators taking on this role in the new school year. This is an opt‑in opportunity for two hours of reflection and planning between August 20, 2026 and August 28, 2028.

Responsibilities

Educators will participate in 2-4 hours of compensated summer planning, including:

  • Reflection on the first year of learning labs: what works, what could have been better, and what to change.
  • Launch planning with goals and overall structure of the course for SY 2026-27.
Compensation

$45/hour, funded by a DESE grant.
