Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Municipal Group in one of the locations listed below. In this role, you will work with local municipalities and private clients to plan, design and manage the construction of water and wastewater projects as well as the other various civil engineering projects
Posting Location(s): Normal, or Peoria, IL
What You'll Do:
  • Planning, design, permitting, funding, and construction of municipal projects
  • Mentor staff and collaborate with rest of Civil team/offices
  • Maintain relationships with state and local authorities.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding current and future projects
  • Attend City staff and council/board meetings as necessary
  • Support Municipal related project development
  • Assist with Client development and business development efforts
  • Prepare project proposals

What You'll Need:
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 8 - 15 years of municipal, water, wastewater engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer - PE License
  • Project management experience
  • Team player that can manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Sanitary sewer and water main design experience
  • Experience working with local and state government organizations
  • Familiar with Illinois EPA permitting and funding application processes
  • Enthusiasm for business development

Salary Range: $90,000 min - $130,000 max (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
