Assistant Project Manager | Municipal amp; Water Resources

We are actively seeking an Assistant Project Manager in our King of Prussia, PA office. As an Assistant Project Manager with HRG, you will be responsible for supporting our project managers and municipal engineering representatives that improve infrastructure within the communities served, gaining hands-on experience in municipal project management. You will help deliver impactful infrastructure projects that improve communities, working closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the design and development of municipal capital projects, including stormwater, utilities, roads, and site improvements
  • Review and coordinate permit applications (e.g., PADEP, PENNDOT), ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Coordinate field inspections, site visits, and coordinate with clients and agency representatives
  • Help develop project budgets, monitor performance in project management system, and support billing and invoicing efforts
  • Represent the company in meetings, contribute to proposals, and support business development in the municipal sector
  • Review plans, specifications, contract documents, cost opinions, and funding applications
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all calculations, reports, and design criteria
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, and clients to deliver successful projects
  • Participate in staff training and provide input on staffing needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • E.I.T. Certification required or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • 4+ years of professional civil engineering experience supporting municipal engineering representatives, with a focus on municipal consulting, SALDO Ordinance amp; Plan review, stormwater, PADEP permits, and specification writing
  • Experience reviewing drainage, stormwater management, erosion amp; sedimentation control calculations and reports
  • Experience with project manuals, construction specifications, contract administration, and subdivision and land development ordinances for municipal plan reviews
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a client-focused approach
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers (or similar stormwater modeling programs)
  • Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.
  • Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
  • Valid US Driverโ€™s License is required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
