Multipurpose Rehab and Counseling Center is searching for a dedicated and experienced Senior Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this full-time remote position, you will play a critical role in supporting patients who are battling substance use disorders, guiding them on their journey to recovery through tailored therapeutic interventions and comprehensive treatment plans. Work Environment

This role is set within a remote work environment, allowing for flexibility in balancing work and personal life, while still being part of a larger community dedicated to substance use recovery. Although you will primarily work from home, you will have the full support of our team-based culture, which emphasizes regular communication and collaboration through virtual platforms. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as patient needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments for new clients, meticulously identifying their unique treatment needs and personal recovery goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, regularly updating them to reflect patient progression and changing circumstances.
• Facilitate both one-on-one counseling sessions where techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy are utilized to promote engagement and skill development.
• Lead group therapy sessions, creating an environment that encourages open dialogue and peer support among clients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to provide integrated care and coordinate comprehensive support systems for patients.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to stabilize and assist clients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery pathways, and available community resources, empowering them with tools for long-term success.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, as well as contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate actively in weekly team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to enhance the team's collaborative approach to client care.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in the mental health field, integrating new knowledge into therapeutic methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol addiction, opioid dependence, and various chemical dependencies. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities associated with these challenges, as well as the ability to create a supportive and empathetic atmosphere that fosters trust and healing.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery processes, along with a firm grasp of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven experience providing individual and group therapy, specifically in the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to client care.
• Proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant clinical software.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and productive work culture.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience specifically addressing substance use disorders.
• Experience in a community health clinic setting or similar environment that emphasizes holistic and individualized care.
• Participation in ongoing training or advanced certifications related to addiction treatment or mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
