EKG Security, Inc. is looking for a Site Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to join our team. This is a full-time role offering $20.00 per hour plus exceptional benefits, including medical insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, FREE uniforms, PAID vacations, and more after just 90 days. ABOUT THIS SITE SECURITY OFFICER ROLE

This is a position that requires you to be on-call for 40 hours per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours of scheduled work per week.

As an unarmed security officer, you serve as the eyes, ears, and first point of contact for our clients. Your daily flow involves providing professional, fixed, and roving patrol security, where you consistently deliver superior customer service. You are vigilant in observing, reporting, and deterring unauthorized activity at client sites. Your main duty is to maintain safety and order by enforcing client procedures and standards. Be prepared to respond quickly to critical situations and document events with clear, detailed reports.

READY TO BECOME OUR SITE SECURITY OFFICER?

  • 18+ years old or the minimum age required by the state
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED; possessing an associate's degree is preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • 2+ years of security experience and/or military/LEO
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge to operate the radio, telephone, and console monitors
  • Authorization to legally work in the United States
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Access to reliable transportation that allows for short-notice response throughout the Atlanta Metro area
  • Ability to complete crisis prevention training and site-specific training before serving as a qualified security officer
  • Ability to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours)
  • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to reach over your head with 10-25 lb loads
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs, with loads up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and use ladders
  • Ability to work at a desk and use a keyboard
  • Ability to work any shift, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including weekends and holidays
