Job Description:

• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care. 

• Performs IV starts and administers contrast as required.
• Provides on-call coverage outside of standard hours as per department and facility policy.

• Inputs charges and required data for procedures and supplies used during exams.

• Completes necessary hospital and medical imaging paperwork for each exam performed.

• Maintains technical operation of equipment, notifies service when necessary, and logs service calls or problems per department procedure.

• Maintains a clean work area for employees and patients, ensuring quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation.

• Performs imaging procedures while ensuring safety, adhering to radiation safety regulations to minimize exposure.

• Produces quality images accurately and promptly.

• Prepares patients for exams by providing information and instructions, and addressing their physical and emotional needs. 

• Assists and positions patients during exams, observing and documenting any unusual occurrences.

• Performs other duties as assigned
