Strategic Marketing & Communications
Worcester, MA | Hybrid Travel Throughout New England | Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Bring Stories to Life. Inspire Change. Make an Impact.

At Ascentria Care Alliance, every story matters.

For more than 150 years, we've been helping people overcome life's challenges by providing compassionate care and life-changing services to refugees and immigrants, older adults, children and families, individuals with disabilities, and those facing housing or mental health challenges.

We're looking for a creative, passionate Multimedia Designer who believes that powerful storytelling can inspire action, build stronger communities, and change lives. If you love photography, videography, graphic design, and creating compelling visual content that makes a difference, we'd love to meet you.

This isn't just another marketing position—it's an opportunity to tell the stories of resilience, hope, and transformation happening every day across New England.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our Strategic Marketing & Communications team, you'll help shape how Ascentria's mission comes to life through visual storytelling.

You'll create engaging multimedia content that celebrates our clients, employees, donors, volunteers, and communities while strengthening our brand and expanding awareness of our impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Capture compelling photos and videos of clients, employees, events, and programs across New England.
  • Design creative marketing materials for print and digital platforms.
  • Produce engaging videos for social media, fundraising, recruitment, advocacy, and organizational campaigns.
  • Help tell authentic stories that inspire donors, recruit employees, and engage our communities.
  • Maintain and organize Ascentria's digital photo, video, and creative asset library.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to identify and capture meaningful stories.
  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, printers, and other creative vendors.
  • Manage multimedia projects from concept through final production.
  • Travel approximately 15% throughout New England to capture stories at our various locations.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is both creative and collaborative—someone who enjoys turning ideas into impactful visual stories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in graphic design, multimedia production, marketing, or visual communications.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing photography, videography, graphic design, and storytelling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Experience with photography, video production, audio recording, lighting, and editing.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout New England.

Why You'll Love Working Here

At Ascentria, creativity has purpose.

Every campaign you create, every video you produce, and every story you tell helps connect people to critical services, inspire generosity, recruit compassionate employees, and strengthen communities.

We offer:

  • A mission-driven culture where your work truly matters
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Generous paid time off
  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
  • Professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • A collaborative, supportive marketing team that values creativity and innovation
