Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Multi-Media Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
  • Design, produce, and maintain multimedia training content: instructional videos, interactive modules, graphics, and digital learning assets aligned with TRADOC and Army training doctrine.
  • Translate technical and functional requirements into clear, engaging visual content that supports software updates, new capabilities, and sustainment training.
  • Collaborate with trainers, SMEs, system owners, and instructional designers to ensure multimedia accuracy and curriculum alignment.
  • Integrate multimedia into instructor-led, virtual (VTC/DCS), and distributed learning deliveries, and support Mobile Training Team operations.
  • Manage multimedia asset libraries and learning repositories: version control, metadata, accessibility, and authorized distribution.
  • Apply industry-standard production tools and techniques to optimize quality, reduce delivery costs, and enhance learner engagement.
  • Validate multimedia in training environments, perform pre-deployment testing, and resolve playback or access issues.
  • Advise training leadership on multimedia strategy, emerging instructional technologies, and content improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor junior media producers and establish standards, templates, and QA processes for multimedia production.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (example: Cyber 101); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience in multimedia production, instructional media, or digital learning (as documented).
  • Required experience and skills:
    • Multimedia production, instructional media, or training content development experience with at least 3 years producing enterprise training assets.
    • Proficiency with multimedia authoring and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Articulate), video production, audio editing, and SCORM/xAPI packaging.
    • Experience producing material for classroom and virtual delivery (VTC/DCS), encoding/streaming best practices, and repository management.
    • Strong instructional collaboration skills to convert technical workflows into learner-centered multimedia content.
    • Ability to manage asset versioning, metadata, accessibility, and audit-quality documentation.
  • Desired:
    • Prior DoD/ARNG training multimedia or MTT support experience.
    • Experience with learning management system integration, captioning/accessibility standards, and mobile learning delivery.
    • Familiarity with analytics for learning effectiveness and A/B testing of multimedia approaches.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
