Job Description


Plug and Play is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our global marketing team in our Silicon Valley office, with a strong focus on content creation and storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, understands how to communicate ideas clearly, and is interested in creating digital content across multiple formats. Strong written content skills are the priority. Experience with video and photo content creation is a plus. We can teach the technical side to the right candidate. You will work on content that supports Plug and Play's innovation programs, startup ecosystem, corporate partnerships, events, and thought leadership initiatives.


Responsibilities


  • Assist in writing and editing content for blogs, reports, lead magnets, case studies, and interviews (our content is around innovation, startups, venture capital, and technology trends).
  • Propose optimizations for the published content for stronger organic performance across search and AI-driven discovery platforms.
  • Research and propose visuals, including photos, videos, infographics, and social assets to support written content.
  • Support internal marketing requests from Plug and Play's global teams, including presentations, flyers, booklets, and event materials.
  • Capture and create short-form video and photo content during our events, interviews, and ecosystem activities.
  • Help repurpose long-form content into social posts, video snippets, and visual assets.
  • Monitor content performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends, platform algorithms, creator formats, and digital storytelling best practices.
  • Research and track competitor content strategies, formats, and emerging communication trends.
  • Help gather content insights and quotes from internal teams, event recordings, and interviews.


Requirements


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English.
  • Understanding of SEO, content optimization, and AI search visibility (GEO) is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Genuine interest in storytelling, startups, innovation, technology, and digital media.
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and their algorithms.
  • Basic experience with video editing, photography, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Portfolio, writing samples, social content, or personal projects are a plus.
