About the Department
The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 450 student-athletes. Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati, Department of Athletics seeks applications for a Videoboard Experience Specialist to work on efforts to improve the overall enhancement and execution of videoboards through the athletic venues. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package. The position may be appointed at the Associate Director or Director level depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will work with Athletics Marketing & Promotions and other internal teams to create compelling, engaging content for in-venue videoboards that enhance the fan experience across athletic venues while following all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.
Essential Functions
  • Lead the development and execution of in-game production for video screens in all athletic venues including but not limited to hype videos, player features, and motion graphics.
  • Operate videoboard and manage control room/booth during all assigned athletic events.
  • Execute effective game day script and in-game promotions via screens and in collaboration with game day presentation team.
  • May collaborate with creative team on ideation, development, review and refinement of engaging multimedia content.
  • Lead the production, setup and video shoot of in-game features including scheduling and coordinating talent, players, staff and coaches.
  • Edit video and photo content. Incorporate music, video, static & motion graphics, and VoiceOver. Ensure proper videoboard standards in advance of events and in real time.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and tear down video, photography, and audio equipment. Monitor equipment condition and provide recommendations regarding equipment and software purchases.
  • Archive and organize digital assets for easy accessibility and future use.
  • Support accessibility initiatives by producing content that meets legal and institutional accessibility standards.
  • Promote and showcase the Bearcat Brand and vision through creative media
  • Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling of the videoboard interns.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Six (6) years of relevant education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill minimum education and experience requirement

Required Experience
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Adobe Suite, Sound Director, Daktronics.
  • Experience running videoboard operations at large venues and events.
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
