DEFINITION

Under the direction of the Director of Community Relations, the Multimedia & Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for strengthening Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma's digital presence through strategic content creation, social media management, multimedia storytelling, photography, videography, digital communications, and online reputation support.

This position develops engaging written and visual content that promotes the organization's services, providers, recruitment initiatives, employee culture, events, and community outreach while ensuring consistent brand messaging across all digital and print communication channels.

The Multimedia & Digital Communications Specialist serves as a key contributor to Memorial Health System's digital communications strategy by managing and creating content for organizational social media platforms, coordinating website content updates with third-party vendors, supporting online reputation initiatives, maintaining accurate digital listings, and producing multimedia content that strengthens the organization's brand and community engagement.

This position collaborates closely with leadership, physicians, departments, Human Resources, vendors, community partners, and the Community Relations team to support organizational priorities including patient engagement, employee recruitment, physician outreach, service line growth, and system-wide branding initiatives.

The Multimedia & Digital Communications Specialist is expected to be a collaborative team player who contributes to a positive work environment, supports department initiatives, and works cooperatively with internal and external partners to achieve organizational goals.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field required.

Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

       Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

       Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with experience creating engaging content for multiple audiences and communication channels.

       Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.

       Ability to develop clear, creative, and engaging copy for websites, social media, newsletters, digital campaigns, and marketing materials.

       Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

       Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, and emerging platforms.

       Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or comparable creative software.

       Experience with professional photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and multimedia production equipment, or the ability to quickly learn.

       Experience with professional video editing software and multimedia production workflows.

       Ability to utilize industry-standard video editing and creative technology platforms.

       Working knowledge of website content management systems and experience coordinating content updates with third-party website vendors.

       Understanding of SEO best practices, digital marketing strategies, and online audience engagement.

       Experience with Google Business Profiles, online reputation management, social media analytics, and digital reporting preferred.

       Ability to work independently while functioning as a collaborative member of a creative marketing team.

       Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, brand consistency, and professionalism.

       Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

       Demonstrates creativity, initiative, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a strong customer service mindset.

A professional portfolio demonstrating experience with social media campaigns, digital content creation, photography, videography, writing samples, graphic design, multimedia projects, or other relevant marketing communications work is strongly preferred.
