Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We've designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We're looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

With a focus on enabling results and driving effective collaboration, this role spans leadership development, interpersonal and professional skills, and technical training. The ideal candidate is a highly self-directed creative professional who thrives in ambiguity, moves fluidly across project types, turns complexity into clarity, and takes pride in representing Joby Learning at its best. This is a hybrid (2/3 days a week) role based primarily in an office environment (Santa Cruz, Marina, or San Carlos) with occasional travel to other Joby sites for needs assessment and program delivery.
This is a temporary role, anticipated to last 6 months.

  • Coordinate program logistics and communications.

Facilitation & Program Delivery

  • Adapt facilitation approach to diverse audiences - from frontline teams to senior leaders.
  • Manage session preparation, delivery, and follow-through.
  • Manage program schedules and track program effectiveness.

Multimedia & Content Development
  • Produce visually compelling learning materials using graphic design, video, and interactive media.
  • Design and develop actionable guides and visual learning materials that promote immediate application.
  • Create micro-learning and just-in-time learning resources accessible across platforms.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research and design processes.
  • Ensure materials meet accessibility standards and accommodate diverse learning preferences.

Required

  • 8+ years of experience designing adult learning experiences with demonstrated impact.
  • Strong facilitation skills across varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to independently scope, research, and develop high-quality learning content.
  • Proficiency in multimedia design tools and modern learning technologies (graphics, interactive elements, etc.).
  • Well-informed of emerging trends in learning technology and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in instructional design software and multimedia creation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborative team player who takes pride in representing Joby Learning and elevating how learning is perceived across Joby.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and mobile learning platforms.
