Position Summary
The Social Media amp; Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening the employee experience by leading cultural initiatives, events, and staff storytelling. This role helps bring the organization’s mission to life, creating meaningful connections between employees, their work, and the patients they serve. In addition, the role curates and manages staff-focused social media content, showcasing the people and the culture behind the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Experience amp; Culture
  • Create and launch high-impact experiences that energize employees and strengthen culture, recognition, and connection (from unforgettable retreats to meaningful celebrations)
  • Activate the mission in real, visible ways by partnering with leadership to embed values into everyday employee experiences
  • Team up with HR to reimagine the employee journey - from standout onboarding to retention strategies that truly stick
  • Own the employee voice by driving feedback initiatives and turning insights into bold, tangible improvements
  • Co-create a culture people want to be part of by collaborating with the Employee Engagement Committee to spark fresh ideas that boost morale, communication, and connection
Internal Communications amp; Storytelling
  • Bring the workplace to life through compelling visuals by creating dynamic photo, video, and multimedia content that showcases employees and culture
  • Drive a bold, engaging internal communications strategy across announcements, updates, and intranet to keep employees informed and inspired
  • Spotlight what makes the organization special by capturing and sharing powerful employee stories, team wins, and culture-building moments - internally and across social media
  • Own and elevate communication channels by keeping platforms fresh, relevant, and easy to navigate so employees always have access to what they need
Event Planning (Cross-Functional Collaboration with Marketing amp; Branding Specialist)
  • Co-create and deliver unforgettable staff events (from company picnics to holiday parties), shaping every detail from timelines and budgets to seamless execution
  • Source and manage top-tier vendors - venues, catering, entertainment, rentals, and more - to create elevated, memorable experiences
  • Drive flawless event execution by leading logistics end-to-end, including scheduling, registration, communications, materials, and on-site support
  • Continuously elevate the experience by analyzing event success and employee feedback, turning insights into even stronger, more engaging future initiatives
Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities
  • Creative storytelling amp; content creation: Ability to craft compelling, people-centered stories through video, photography, and written content that bring culture and brand to life
  • Social media strategy amp; execution: Skilled in planning, creating, and managing content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to drive engagement and growth
  • Audience engagement amp; community building: Strong ability to connect with audiences, foster relationships, and build a sense of community through consistent, authentic interaction
  • Internal communications expertise: Ability to translate organizational updates, culture, and initiatives into engaging, easy-to-understand messaging for employees
  • Event planning amp; experience design: Capable of creating and executing events that strengthen culture, engagement, and employee connection
  • Visual content and design skills: Proficiency in creating eye-catching graphics and multimedia content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Canva at minimum)
  • Project management amp; organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaboration amp; cross-functional partnership: Skilled at working with leadership, HR, and marketing peer to align messaging and initiatives
  • Data awareness amp; analytics: Ability to track engagement metrics and use insights to refine strategies and improve performance
  • Adaptability amp; trend awareness: Stays current on social media trends, tools, and best practices, and quickly adapts to new opportunities
  • Strong communication skills: Clear, polished written and verbal communication with a tone that resonates across diverse audiences
  • Employee-focused mindset: Passion for enhancing the employee experience and creating meaningful connections within the organization
Education amp; Experience
  • Marketing, Sales, HR, or related degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in marketing, branding, communications, Human Resources, or related role
  • Strong understanding of branding, reputation management, and digital marketing strategy
  • Graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams
Working Conditions
Work is primarily based at the main clinic (Wausau, WI) with regular presence required across all locations throughout the year to support organizational initiatives and engagement. This is a salaried position with a results-driven schedule, requiring flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to successfully fulfill responsibilities and support events and organizational priorities. Requires the ability to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, with occasional physical activity including lifting up to 75 pounds, and bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs.
