Job description

Safety & Multimedia / Audio & Camera Engineer (iRDK Platform)
We are seeking an experienced Safety & Multimedia / Audio & Camera Engineer to lead safety monitor subsystem integration and multimedia bring-up, including audio and camera enablement, for the AMD iRDK platform as part of the Ok2Book Proof of Concept.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate and validate safety monitor subsystems, including watchdogs, error detection mechanisms, health monitoring, and FTTI analysis.
  • Lead camera subsystem bring-up, including MIPI CSI-2, ISP integration, V4L2 drivers, Camera HAL, and frame capture validation.
  • Own audio subsystem bring-up, including codec integration, ALSA configuration, Audio HAL development, and latency measurement.
  • Collaborate with AMD teams on safety and multimedia driver support.
  • Validate ISO 26262-aware safety mechanisms against Ok2Book acceptance criteria.
  • Perform debugging, testing, and optimization of multimedia and safety features.
  • Document multimedia and safety subsystem bring-up status for program reviews and milestone gates.
Required Skills:
  • 7+ years of Embedded Software Development experience.
  • Strong experience with camera bring-up, including MIPI CSI-2, V4L2 driver stack, ISP integration, and Camera HAL.
  • Hands-on experience with audio bring-up using ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, SoundWire, and HDMI ARC.
  • Experience with safety subsystem integration, including watchdogs, health monitors, and ASIL-aware software development.
  • Strong Linux kernel and multimedia framework experience (GStreamer, Camera2 API).
