TNT Crane & Rigging Inc., a leading provider of crane and rigging solutions, is seeking a dedicated professional looking to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering excellence in training company wide.


Job Summary: TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time Training Instructor to join our Training & Development team. A Trainer at TNT Crane & Rigging Inc is responsible for scheduling, conducting, and monitoring the training of employees in both soft and technical skills across multiple business units in areas such as Safety, Operations, Maintenance, or Supervisor Training. The ideal candidate should be familiar with basic instructional and course design principles and adult learning theory. The Trainer will also help carry out training evaluations and support the creation of a variety of training products such as guides, handbooks, and job aids. Training delivered may include blended and distance learning solutions, along with asynchronous and synchronous approaches to training. Training courses will emphasize learner-centered, experiential learning that requires strong facilitation skills. The candidate will assist with assessing student performance, monitoring progress and providing feedback.


Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of multiple business units.
• Formulates teaching outlines, and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
• Selects and develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference work.
• Conducts train the trainer and employee training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training (OJT), refresher training, etc.
• Maintains employee training records. Reports on progress and maintains training records of employees under guidance during training periods.
• Monitors methods used by employees and conducts performance evaluations.
• Develops strong relationships with business units to facilitate training, develop course materials, and receive feedback.
• Team facilitation and the ability to work effectively in cross functional settings. Work within the team possessing the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints, and manage shifting priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Experience with apprenticeship programs preferred.
• Familiar with Adult Learning Theory.
• Demonstrated ability to tailor communication and proven ability to facilitate small and large groups of people with diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt new technologies for knowledge management and/or tailoring of technology to support learning needs.
• Previous training experience in conducting [safety] training for equipment operators required. Experience conducting train-the-trainer programs preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of crane and/or rigging experience.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Provincial occupational safety regulations including ASME, OSHA, MSHA, and other non-regulatory safety codes and standards required.
• Knowledge of requirements for training programs such as Aerial Work Platforms, Forklifts (Powered Industrial Trucks), Fall Protection, etc. preferred.
• NCCCO and/or NCCER certified instructor.
• Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, ability to work on a team effectively, regularly work outside your comfort zone, and to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving requirements.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite required.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
