Job description

Here we Grow Again! We are looking for a bilingual legal receptionist to coordinate office activities such as scheduling new client appointments, preparing legal correspondence, docketing cases and maintaining court dockets and diaries and providing information to potential and existing clients. The work requires knowledge of secretarial and office organization.

In addition Bilingual Legal Receptionist will do the following duties:

  • Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls in both Spanish and English; responds to inquires on a variety of matters such as scheduling for appointments, the status of pending cases and upcoming court dates.
  • Schedule and arrange client meetings and other meetings as needed;
  • Operates keyboard equipment such as personal computer to docket cases, process information, records notices of hearings and upcoming court dates, correspondence, reports and other data;
  • Operates keyboard equipment to produce general letters to the court and client's regarding case updates as needed;
  • Proofreads and corrects prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax and content;
  • Inputs, retrieves, updates and deletes information using computerized databases.
  • Operates standard office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and mailing machine;
  • Ability to work with others and be a team player
  • Must have "can-do" attitude and a self-starter who knows how to work in a busy environment
  • Ability to use multiple computer interfaces at the same time to include: Slack, Google Office Suites (Google Docs, Gmail etc.), Lawmatics, Case Management Software

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent;
  • Prior office work experience required;
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
