Job description

American Builders Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can independently manage multiple active renovation projects from award through completion.

This role requires strong field leadership, subcontractor coordination, budget control, scheduling, documentation, and client communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple multifamily and commercial renovation projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain accountability for project financial performance, including budget, job costs, change orders, purchasing decisions and overall profitability.
  • Provide clear direction and accountability to superintendents and field teams while maintaining appropriate subcontractor relationships and project controls.
  • Conduct site visits, quality control inspections, progress meetings, and punch walks.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, photos, daily updates, and project closeout records.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, ownership, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Identify project risks early and implement solutions before they impact schedule, budget, or profitability.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience preferred, with demonstrated responsibility for projects from award through closeout.
  • Multifamily renovation, capital improvement, commercial renovation, or insurance restoration experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience directing and coordinating superintendents, subcontractors and field resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with occupied multifamily communities.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from unit turns and capital improvements to large-scale renovations.
