We are seeking a collaborative, people-first Regional Community Manager to lead a multi-state portfolio of residential communities across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York (approximately 1,020 units across 7 communities).
This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader who excels at building high-performing teams, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, and driving operational excellence. As a key leader, you will shape culture, elevate the resident experience, and align teams around shared goals to drive portfolio performance and long-term value.
Your Impact

People Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Property Managers and onsite teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning efforts across the portfolio.

Financial Stewardship
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across the portfolio.
  • Translate data into action by analyzing financial and operational metrics, identifying trends, and implementing improvements.
  • Guide teams in optimizing revenue, expense control, and capital investment decisions.
  • Partner with leadership on annual planning and long-term financial strategy.

Operational Leadership & Portfolio Performance
  • Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day operations across communities, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and strong execution.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices that enhance resident satisfaction, occupancy, and retention.
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve processes, tools, and workflows that drive scalable, high-quality operations.
  • Serve as a visible and accessible leader, building strong relationships with on-site teams and maintaining a pulse on community performance.

Capital Improvements & Strategic Asset Enhancements
  • Leads and oversees large-scale capital improvement projects across a regional portfolio
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Brings extensive experience in planning, budgeting, and executing property upgrades and renovations
  • Manages repositioning and enhancement initiatives to maximize asset value
  • Partners with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to drive project success
  • Improves property performance and resident satisfaction through strategic capital investments

Asset Care & Lifecycle Management
  • Brings extensive experience in asset care and long-term property management
  • Leads proactive maintenance efforts to protect and enhance asset value
  • Identifies and prioritizes property needs to support smart capital spending
  • Implements strategies that extend asset life and control operating costs
  • Maintains high standards for property condition, safety, and overall performance


Strategic Partnership
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, contributing to portfolio strategy, growth initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness, technology utilization, and team performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of multifamily, multi-state operations, budgeting, occupancy management, and resident relations.
  • Experience with property management software platforms and reporting tools.
