Whitegate Construction is hiring a Plumbing Superintendent to run our field operations on multifamily

projects in the Philadelphia area. We build garden-style, podium, and mid-rise apartment projects. This

is a senior field role for someone who came up through the trade and knows how to run crews and keep

a schedule moving.

You will own the field side of one or more projects. That means manpower, production, sequencing,

goes in right, on time, and to code. You will be on the jobsite every day, not at a desk. We want

someone who is organized, dependable, and able to hold a crew and a GC accountable without burning

the relationship.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations

â—Ź Run plumbing field work across one or more active multifamily projects.

â—Ź Manage and develop foremen and crews. Set daily and weekly production goals and hold the

team to them.

â—Ź Walk the work every day. Underground, rough-in, top-out, and trim. Catch problems before they

cost money.

â—Ź Coordinate sequencing with the GC and the other trades, including framing, mechanical,

electrical, and fire protection.

Schedule Production

â—Ź Build and maintain three-week lookahead schedules.

â—Ź Coordinate manpower and material to hit GC milestones.

â—Ź Track production against budget and flag labor problems to the PM early.

Quality, Inspections Safety

â—Ź Schedule and walk AHJ inspections. Own the pass or fail.

â—Ź Run QA/QC. Pressure tests, hydro tests, gas tests, fixture checks, and punch.

â—Ź Enforce safety on every jobsite. Lead by example and keep the crews compliant.

Required Qualifications

â—Ź Seven or more years in commercial or multifamily plumbing, with at least three running crews as

a foreman or superintendent.

â—Ź Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and the plumbing code as it applies to multifamily work.

â—Ź Proven track record on multifamily projects. Podium, wood frame, or Type I.

â—Ź Able to read plans, isometrics, and riser diagrams and make calls from them.

â—Ź Can run a crew, work with a GC superintendent, and handle an inspector.

â—Ź Comfortable using a computer, iPad, or similar device. Procore and Bluebeam a plus.

â—Ź OSHA 30.

â—Ź Valid drivers license.

â—Ź Journeyman or Master plumbing license a strong plus.

â—Ź Whitegate Construction is a 100% drug and alcohol free workplace.
