Job description

Real Estate -- Apartment Management -- Maintenance

National Property Management Company seeks a full time Maintenance Technician at a prestigious apartment community

Position Overview -- Under the supervision of the General Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance at the property.

Job Duties:

  • Performance of all work orders, maintenance and repairs at the property as assigned
  • Prepare vacant units to Company market ready standards.
  • Complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain the shop and storage areas in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure fashion.
  • Walk the property daily paying attention to appearance, deficiencies and general cleanliness of all areas.
  • Treat residents with respect, efficiency and courtesy.

Requirements for Maintenance Technician:

  • Full-time position
  • Must be HVAC certified, or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months
  • Must have experience involving air conditioning, heating, carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Must be available for 24 hour on-call service, as assigned
  • Must possess a set of basic hand tools to use in performance of duties
  • Must have a good history of dependability and job performance
  • Must have adequate computer skills
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in multifamily maintenance or construction as a technician is preferred
  • Must possess a current and valid Driver's License

Compensation/Benefits:

  • The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $28.00-$29.00. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications (including, but not limited to, education, specific skills, and years of experience), operational needs, work location, and other considerations as permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by law.
  • This position also includes participation in a bonus program.
