Traveling Maintenance Technician - Baton Rouge Based

Job Summary:

Vista Multifamily Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Traveling Maintenance Technician to join our elite Maintenance Strike Team based out of the Palm Springs area. As a key member of our team, you will travel to properties across multiple regions to provide maintenance support and property stabilization. If you are a hands-on professional with a strong background in multi-family maintenance or construction, and a passion for delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to properties across multiple regions to provide maintenance support and property stabilization

  • Perform unit turns, repairs, capital improvement projects, and emergency maintenance work

  • Complete skilled tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and basic HVAC

  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently with minimal oversight

  • Support inspection preparation and rapid project completion timelines

  • Work alongside regional teams to maintain company standards and improve property performance

  • Maintain accurate work order documentation and project updates

  • Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow OSHA/company safety standards

  • Represent the strike team professionally while onsite and provide excellent service to residents and site teams

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of multifamily maintenance or construction experience

  • Strong skills across multiple trades; ability to work independently

  • Experience with unit turns, renovation projects, or high-volume maintenance environments preferred

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays and occasional extended hours
