Multifamily Maintenance Technician – $28–$30/hr – Hiring Now

Career Strategies is actively hiring a skilled Multifamily Maintenance Technician for a full-time opportunity in St. Paul, MN. We are seeking an experienced, dependable maintenance professional who can confidently handle resident work orders, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident maintenance requests and daily work orders
  • Perform apartment turns and make-ready work for incoming residents
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, drains, disposals, and leaks
  • Complete basic electrical repairs involving outlets, switches, fixtures, and lighting
  • Diagnose and repair common household appliances
  • Perform drywall repair, patching, painting, and touch-ups
  • Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Inspect vacant apartments and ensure units are move-in ready
  • Maintain common areas, amenities, and overall property appearance
  • Identify potential maintenance and safety concerns
  • Communicate professionally with residents and property management staff
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards


Qualifications

  • 1+ year of apartment, multifamily, residential, facilities, or property maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliance repair
  • Apartment turn and make-ready experience preferred
  • Ability to complete work orders independently and efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance duties throughout the shift
  • Dependable transportation required
  • EPA Certification or HVAC experience is a plus
