Veterinary Surgical Center at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team at our Vienna location. This role will work primarily with our boarded surgeons and residents in our surgery service, but will also have the opportunity to work with our boarded neurologist and their team.

Multi-Site Veterinary Practice Manager - Vienna & Leesburg Veterinary Surgical Centers - Vienna & Leesburg, Virginia

$90,000-$100,000 base salary

Veterinary Surgical Centers is looking to add a compassionate, experienced, and operationally focused Multi-Site Practice Manager to support our teams in Vienna and Leesburg, Virginia.

This position will divide time approximately 50/50 between both locations, providing consistent leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on support to each hospital. The Multi-Site Practice Manager will work closely with hospital and regional leadership to create an environment where team members feel supported, hospital operations run efficiently, and exceptional patient care remains the top priority.

The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of veterinary medicine and is equally comfortable reviewing payroll and financial performance, coaching team members, solving operational challenges, and stepping onto the hospital floor to assist when needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Multi-Site Leadership & Hospital Operations
  • Divide time approximately equally between the Vienna and Leesburg locations, maintaining a consistent and visible leadership presence at both hospitals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for staff questions, operational concerns, and routine problem-solving
  • Ensure each hospital maintains positive, efficient operational flow
  • Partner with hospital and regional leadership to align priorities, improve processes, and support the needs of both locations
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical, sustainable solutions
  • Maintain a strong understanding of daily hospital activity, staffing needs, patient flow, and team workload
  • Ensure compassionate patient care and an exceptional client experience remain top priorities
Financial & Business Management
  • Oversee payroll processes, timekeeping, scheduling controls, and labor management for both locations
  • Review monthly financial reports and key performance indicators
  • Support budgeting, expense management, purchasing, and financial accountability
  • Apply a working knowledge of profit and loss statements to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern
  • Partner with leadership to improve hospital performance while maintaining high standards of patient care and team support
  • Ensure hospital spending, deposits, inventory processes, and other financial procedures are completed accurately and consistently
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative work culture across both locations
  • Support employee engagement, morale, retention, and professional development
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and clear performance expectations to team members and department leaders
  • Conduct or support performance reviews, compensation discussions, corrective actions, and employee relations matters

  • Oversee staff scheduling and help ensure appropriate coverage based on hospital and patient needs
  • Support employee documentation, disciplinary processes, leave coordination, and other day-to-day human resources responsibilities
  • Ensure hospital policies and procedures are communicated and followed consistently
Clinical & Floor Support
  • Maintain an active presence within the hospitals and remain connected to the daily work of the clinical teams
  • Assist on the hospital floor when patient volume, staffing needs, or unexpected circumstances require additional support
  • Help coordinate workflow during busy periods and provide practical assistance based on experience and hospital needs
  • Support efficient communication and collaboration between clinical departments
  • Be willing to step in wherever needed to help the hospitals, patients, clients, and teams succeed
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure OSHA, safety, controlled substance, and hospital compliance programs are continuously monitored

REQUIREMENTS
  • Veterinary industry experience is required
  • Two to five years of management experience with responsibility for running a business unit, department, or hospital operation
  • Strong knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a veterinary hospital
  • Experience overseeing payroll, scheduling, staffing, and labor management
  • Working knowledge of profit and loss statements, budgeting, expenses, and financial performance
  • Ability and willingness to divide time approximately 50/50 between the Vienna and Leesburg locations
  • Ability and willingness to assist on the hospital floor when operational or patient-care needs require additional support
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and navigate employee relations matters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
