Epicor Kinetic ERP Administrator

Muskegon, MI • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 6 days ago

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an ERP professional to administer and actively build on our Epicor Kinetic system supporting multiple affiliated businesses that share a single Kinetic tenant across companies and sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Epicor Kinetic Cloud experience and be comfortable designing, configuring, and extending business processes through Configurator, BPMs, BAQs, integrations, and system configuration. They will partner directly with Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, and Production across every business unit to solve manufacturing challenges. The role will be the technical owner of the system that runs our shop floors, our quoting, and our order-to-cash process, company-wide.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and standardize ERP processes across multiple growing manufacturing businesses. The successful candidate will have significant influence over system architecture, process standardization, and future technology investments.

Multi-Entity Scope

This position will work across multiple sites building up to 6 companies within one Kinetic instance, which means:

  • Configuring and maintaining company/site structures, security, and segregation of duties across all entities
  • Building Configurator rule sets, BPMs, and BAQs that work across different companies; some shared logic, some business-specific
  • Identifying where processes should be standardized across businesses vs. where they legitimately need to stay distinct
  • Coordinating with multiple department stakeholders (Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, Production) at each business.

What You'll Do

  • Administer and maintain Epicor Kinetic across all modules (Job Management, MRP, Purchasing, Inventory, Costing, MES/Data Collection) for multiple companies within the tenant
  • Write and maintain Business Process Management (BPM) rules to automate workflows and enforce business logic, scoped correctly per company where needed
  • Build and maintain BAQs (Business Activity Queries) and BAQ-based reports/dashboards, including consolidated reporting across business units
  • Manage Epicor REST API and integration points with other business systems (e.g., Wrike, Autodesk Inventor data, custom internal tools)
  • Responsible for Kinetic security, user roles, and multi-company/multi-site configuration
  • Partner with Engineering at each business on Bill of Material / Method of Manufacturing structure for multi-level and configured parts
  • Support and troubleshoot day-to-day production issues tied to job costing, inventory transactions, and MRP planning
  • Evaluate and implement new Kinetic modules/features to reduce the use of third-party applications
  • Document system configuration, custom BPMs/BAQs, and train end users across departments and business units

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years hands-on experience administering or developing Epicor Kinetic Cloud in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience building Epicor Configurator rule sets (Method/BOM generation, UD fields, conditional logic)
  • Strong BPM and BAQ development experience; comfortable writing SQL
  • Experience with multi-company or multi-site Kinetic environments strongly preferred
  • Understanding of discrete manufacturing concepts: multi-level BOMs, job costing, MRP, standard costing
  • Experience with Epicor REST API or other integration methods
  • Ability to work directly with Engineering, Estimating, and Production across multiple, distinct businesses to translate real shop-floor problems into system solutions
  • Comfortable with periodic travel

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Epicor MES / Data Collection on the shop floor
  • Familiarity with custom application development (Python, JavaScript, or similar) for tools that complement Kinetic
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management platforms
  • Epicor certifications (Configurator, BPM, or similar)
