We are in search of a Tax Preparation Assistant to join our team for the upcoming Tax season and potentially beyond. We are a well-established multi-service agency that has been a valuable community resource in the Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, & beyond for over 25 years.
Someone experienced in Tax Preparation, Accounting, and other administrative duties is ideal but we are willing to train and mentor the right candidate interested in creating a stable career providing these services. (Recent college grads are a great fit or Spanish speaking with prior office skills). We are happy to train the potential candidates on our process before the beginning of the peak tax season.
Must be Bi-Lingual in Spanish & English.

Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Direct interaction with clients, providing excellent customer service & phone etiquette
  • Understanding of basic office operations & strong knowledge of MS Word/Google Docs
  • Basic tax preparation data entry, invoice creation, & generate reports
  • Provide important Tax Preparation & Resolution as needed
  • Gather & organize all necessary company & client tax documentation on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure records and computer system remain up-to-date, well-organized, and protected
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed on daily basis for tax responsibilities and deadlines
  • Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses, including some light bookkeeping
  • Must be able to work well independently and also with our office team.
  • The ideal Tax Preparer will have at least one tax season experience and be Licensed/CTEC approved, HOWEVER we are willing to train & pay license fees for the right person who is a quick learner with a desire to grow professionally into a Tax/Accounting professional.
Some preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Intuit Pro Series Tax Software
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & report production
  • One tax season experience desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal.
  • Basic knowledge of tax laws and a willingness to be resourceful to find solutions when needed
