We serve tens of thousands of people each year in seven ministries: Marisol Services, Early Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

A Multi-Site Therapist at Catholic Charities:

  • Obtains information about participants through use of interview, case history and observational techniques.
  • Conducts counseling or therapeutic treatments, in either individual or group sessions as appropriate, to assist participants in gaining insight into personal problems, define goals, and plan actions reflecting interests, abilities, and needs and to discuss progress towards achieving goals.
  • Acts as an advocate for participants and/or participant systems when appropriate.
  • Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress and follow-up at disposition times.
  • Identify and provide clinical services to those experiencing comorbidity with mental/behavioral health and or substance use.
  • Assist participants with psychological and social development.
  • Performs appropriate case management based upon accepted standards and program policies.
  • Assist with 27-10 (M-1) “mental health hold” evaluations under licensed clinical supervision.
  • Documents participant contacts and progress in accordance with accepted charting standards.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with referral sources and community agents.
  • Participates in clinical supervision, consultation and staff training as required.
  • Supports, promotes, and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics.
  • Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
  • Maintains confidentiality of participant and agency information.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

This position serves multiple locations.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiarity with the DSM V; ICD-10 and diagnostic techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices.
  • Ability to establish rapport with participants
  • Flexible and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires knowledge of computers to input data, write communications and generate reports.
  • Demonstrate skills and sensitivity to the cultural/linguistic differences of staff, participants, and community.
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the participant population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse participant base.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three years’ experience in clinical social work or related field. Experience with working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations. Must have experience across the lifespan and experience with SPMI, direct clinical services experience with children, families and adults. Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. Current license as a L/CSW; LPCC; MFT in the State of Colorado.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

· License eligible master’s degree in social work, professional counseling, or marriage & family therapy.

· Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their

career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety;

Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed

Care; and many more.

Benefits: In addition to being part of a higher purpose while working in a challenging yet rewarding

environment, eligible Catholic Charities employees receive a generous benefits package, including:

  • Extensive Paid Time Off (4 weeks accrual for new employees - increasing based on tenure) promoting work life balance.
  • 15 Paid Holidays annually (shelters are 24/7, so if a holiday is worked, holiday pay is in included.)
  • Sabbatical Leave Program: Employees who have completed seven years of continuous full-time service are eligible for a paid sabbatical leave to support rest, renewal, and professional or personal growth. Eligible staff may take 4 weeks of sabbatical leave.
  • 403b Retirement Plan with Agency contribution of 4% & match up to 2% of annual compensation.
  • Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of employee's and 75% of dependent’s premiums is paid by Agency), Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start date.
  • May be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through Federal Student Loans and many more benefits

**Part-time employees (20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company paid

holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.
