Job description

As a MuleSoft QA/Tester, you will work with our growing DevSecOps & Salesforce practices delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud and data systems development. For this role, integration testing experience with Mulesoft is required. This effort leverages Public Sector Foundation - Advanced (PSFA) and integrates systems using MuleSoft.


  • Executes detailed test scenarios for MuleSoft Integrations and Salesforce applications, including functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Logs defects, validates fixes, and ensures that the system meets the defined acceptance criteria before deployment. 
  • Meets with product design team to determine testing parameters
  • Writes test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products
  • Manages test data architecture with the Tech Lead
  • Troubleshoots errors and streamline the test procedures
  • Tests and examines code written by others analyzing results, including three or more of the following:
    • Data validation testing
    • Functional testing
    • Performance and load testing
    • Usability testing
    • Accessibility (508) testing
  • Establishes automated testing tools and infrastructure for test automation
  • Provides validation testing of different system and data sets for Salesforce
  • Understands the needs of stakeholders and conveys this to developers
  • Improves development, testing, deployment, and release processes
  • Ensures that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Works with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Documents as-is state of the environment, performs a gap analysis, and produces artifacts that articulate options and recommendations 
  • Works with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools
  • Engineers and implements solutions and provides recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
  • Presents regular status updates and provides cross training to other DevOps team members

  • Must be able to maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree required; equivalency offered
  • 5 years of related experience in software/IT/cloud consulting
  • Experience testing using the MuleSoft MUnit framework
  • Experience with the Mulesoft Platform, Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Salesforce Flows, and OmniStudio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred

Preferred

  • Certifications a plus:
    • CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing)
    • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification
    • Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST)
    • DHS Trusted Tester Certification (TTv5)
  • DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • Experience utilizing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing test automation, using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, RestAssured, Postman
  • Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD Pipelines
  • Current or previous DHS CBP Clearance is preferred

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
