Job description

MuleSoft Integration Developer

Contract Position: 6 months (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)

We are seeking a MuleSoft Integration Developer with proven, hands-on MuleSoft and integration experience to own the full integration lifecycle, from design through development, deployment, and production support. This role uses the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to build reliable, scalable API-led integrations, partnering with application teams, data teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners. Candidates must bring demonstrated integration project experience, not just general development background, along with strong technical judgment, clear communication, and dependable production support.

Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in software development, systems integration, or API development, with direct, hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage integrations across the full lifecycle: design, build, test, deployment, and ongoing production support.
  • Strong REST/SOAP API design and development experience.
  • Experience integrating across cloud and on-premises environments, with data transformation using JSON and XML.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, authentication and security (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, encryption, secrets management), and CI/CD with source control.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, SQL and relational databases, and message queues preferred.
  • Experience with batch processing and large data volumes preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own integrations across the full lifecycle, from solution design and architecture input through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Translate business needs into maintainable integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint, including RESTful and SOAP APIs with maintained specifications and documentation.
  • Build integrations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises systems using real-time, batch, file-based, and event-driven approaches.
  • Develop data mappings and transformations using DataWeave.
  • Implement reliable, secure integrations with strong error handling, monitoring, and industry-standard security practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and release management across environments, and monitor production integrations, including root cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation and communicate integration designs clearly across teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to integration standards and reusable components.
