SF Headlands and Muir Woods - Social Enterprise Janitor Opportunity at Toolworks

Toolworks, a reputable human service agency dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, is currently for a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to support public facilities throughout the SF Headlands and Muir Woods. In this role, you will help create a positive experience for visitors by ensuring restrooms and related facilities are clean, sanitized, stocked, and ready for use.

Wages: $20.93 - $25.93 per hour, depending on experience.
Employment Type: Non-exempt, Hourly, Part-time
Schedule: Thursday through Monday: Opening, Servicing and Closing Shifts are scheduled within assigned operating hours.
Work Location: This is an in-person role in SF Headlands - Muir Woods.

Position Overview

The Social Enterprise (SE) Janitor is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, stocking, and maintaining assigned public restroom and related facilities at SF Headlands and Muir Woods locations. This position helps ensure facilities are clean, safe, orderly, and ready for visitor use. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, safe use of cleaning products and equipment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior janitorial experience is helpful, but we also welcome candidates who are reliable, willing to learn, and take pride in a job well done.

What You'll Do
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, toilets, sinks, floors, showers, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Restock soap, toilet paper, and other restroom supplies.
  • Empty trash and help maintain clean, orderly public facilities.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
  • Travel between assigned facilities during the workday.
  • Communicate with supervisors and teammates to address site needs.

  • Reliable, punctual, and ready to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to perform active janitorial work, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
Position Requirements
  • Must meet AbilityOne Program eligibility requirements, as applicable to the position.
  • Background check may be required, consistent with applicable law.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required if driving is part of the assigned job duties.
